We your Weststern States kinsmen and women of the International Clan MacNicol Society invite you to join us in the preservation and celebration of our heritage. While many people in the West who are of the surname Nic(h)olson, Nic(h)ol(l) or MacNicol(l) are relatively unaware of their history, tradition and descent from a once noble and powerful clan in northwest of Scotland. On behalf of the Board of Directors, I would like to express our sincere thanks for your membership and loyal support of our Clan Society.

We would like to invite you to renew your membership for another twelve months.

After an eventful year with many Clan tents at Highland games, particularly in Canada, a regional gathering in Boston and an international one on the Isle of Skye (regarding which please see the extensive article in the November 2004 newsletter), the Clan Society will bring you several special activities in 2005

Several regional reunions in different areas of the U.S.

Our Chief has asked the three Clan societies (Scotland, Australasia and North America) to help out with the annual upkeep of the Clan lands at Ben Chracaig near Portree. We therefore would like to request that for your 2010 renewal, each of you donate an extra $5 above the 2010 fee. Your $5 donation will be transferred to the Scorrybreac Fund, Inc., a tax-deductible 501(c)(3) charitable organization in the U.S.

Thus, the total cost of a household membership for one year (donation included) will now be US$30 for U.S. and overseas members, or CAN$35 for Canadian members.
